San Diego based singer, Eve Selis takes the stage on October 23 in support of National Make A Difference Day and the Everyday Angels Foundation’s Project Warmth. A gifted songwriter and electrifying performer, Selis was most recently awarded the 2004 Jim Croce Music Award for Excellence and Dedication to Music. Her voice is regularly lauded by critics as nothing short of a masterpiece: passionate, melodic, raspy and sweet, with a phenomenal range rarely heard in pop music She will be joined by her friends multi-talented singer-songwriters Mary Dolan and Patti Zlaket along with bluesman extraordinaire, Earl Thomas. Singer-songwriter Peggy Lebo and her band will open the evening. Every now and then a respected songwriter steps out from behind the scenes and into the performance spotlight, revealing untold depths of voice, artistry and star power. Lebo sings with a rich, natural grace that wraps readily around heartfelt songs of personal transformation.

The Everyday Angels Foundation (EDAF) is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to promote volunteerism and inspire grass-roots community building through education and building the level of awareness in every individual through public outreach. They established Project Warmth to help address the needs of so many people literally left "out in the cold" each winter. The concept is simple – collect warm clothing and blanket donations as the "cost" of admission to an event and distribute them to those in need. Items collected at this show will be donated to and distributed by the Interfaith Shelter Network.

On October 23, 2004 (National Make A Difference Day) and throughout the winter, the EDAF will sponsor
Project Warmth events nationwide so people in need may have more than just a blanket of snow to keep them warm. Millions of Americans across the country are expected to spend the 14th Make A Difference Day doing volunteer projects to improve their communities and help neighbors in need. The day is the largest community service effort in the nation, rallying corporations, government leaders, charitable organizations and everyday Americans into action on one day.

USA WEEKEND Magazine sponsors “Make A Difference Day”, held on the fourth Saturday of each October, in partnership with The Points of Light Foundation which is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging more people more effectively in volunteer community service to help solve serious social problems. On the last “Make A Difference Day”, a record 3 million volunteers participated and an estimated 22 million people-in-need benefited; more than $100,000 was distributed to the charities of volunteers. Projects have ranged from a countywide cleanup involving thousands of people to a mentoring program in which members of a sorority provided one-on-one support to underprivileged children.

Media interviews with the artists and the Everyday Angels Foundation are now being arranged. Contact Anita York at (760) 598-3996, or e-mail Anita@yorkleewood.com.
